Computation rate optimization for double‐intelligent reflecting surface aided mobile edge computing system

In order to improve the performance of mobile edge computing (MEC) system, intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) has recently been included. This paper investigates computation an IRS-aided MEC where access point services multi-MEC devices by utilizing two distributed IRSs operate a partial offloading strategy. Through collaboratively constructing cooperative passive beamforming at IRSs, central processing unit (CPU) frequency, time allocation, and transmit power users, optimization problem is constructed maximize sum rate proposed system. To tackle this non-convex issue, authors first illustrate that design independent optimize other variables propose solve it alternatively. Then joint parameters proved be convex resolvable adopting Lagrange dual approach. Compared with benchmark schemes, simulation outcomes demonstrated system vastly improved deploying IRSs.
